Since moving in I felt a little unsure as to what I wanted to do with the blank space that was under the stairs.. in the beginning I had plants and the blue trunk underneath, but as time went on I wasn’t loving it as much. If I’m being honest, I don’t think I loved that set up in the first place! So after trying to find Inspo on websites and Pinterest, I started to think of how cool it would look with bookshelves underneath. I sent a message to this awesome handyman I know and he came over to talk it out and see what we thought. At first I was unsure if I wanted to do both sides, but at the end of it all decided I wanted a big impact with lots of books and both shelves really helped achieve that!
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about the shelves and Luca handyman made and painted them himself. Honestly my biggest suggestion is to find someone near you to do it if you’re thinking about it! For under the stairs the shelves will need to be custom cut and it will just turn out so good having a professional do it. I swear if I had done these shelves they would look NOTHING like this! hah.
