Today I wanted to share with you how I created an entryway in our apartment when honestly we really don’t have one! Obviously the entryway would normally be near the door, but because of the balcony door we just have a small space to create an ‘entryway’. It always feels nice to have an entryway to hang up your coats, bags, etc and somewhere you can take your shoes off and just unload. So since we didn’t have the typical space I decided to make a small one for us!
I bought this mirror that’s PERFECT from West Elm to have somewhere to hang our bags, but also the mirror so you can check your appearance on your way out (make sure you don’t have any broccoli in your teeth, hehe) and this was the best purchase for this small space! I placed a little cactus on it and a small jar of matches that’s just adorable. I also got this little crate from Target and decided to place is underneath to create some height- instead of just having shoes placed underneath it and just look stacked. I placed a plant on it as well because I honestly just think plants brighten up every corner! To top off the space I added this pennant from United By Blue that’s from our old apartment. I really love bringing elements of our old apartment into our new space.. it’s nice to have some familiar things.
What I feel makes the space are the plants and honestly this mirror/hanging combo from West Elm. I think having art and then something to hang your bags on underneath would also be beautiful! Just creating something that feels like the spot to put your jacket or bag!
