Not only is it spring cleaning but here in NYC we are on lockdown due to the Corona Virus. I’m day 4 or 5 into this and have spent the first few days getting things organized in my home! I’m the type of person if I’m going to be in a space I need it to be clean and organized- or I’ll lose my mind. It’s funny I didn’t used to be this way, but with older age it’s verrrry important for me. I shared over the weekend that I was cleaning things up and got a lot of questions about what I use and my label maker so here we go!
My tips for organizing at home:
JARS – I use these cute jars these and these to store packs of vitamins, Duke’s dog food, sugar, flour, tea (separated by herbal and non) and any other things you need! It’s a nice clean way to store items you use often.
WIRE BASKETS – I used wire baskets in our kitchen to organize everything from snacks, baking items, oils, supplements, etc instead of clear because they felt homier and went more with our kitchen.
LABEL MAKER – This is THE BOMB! Like a full blown label addiction hahaha. I love the font of this one and just get black labels because it’s a vibe! I even label drawers in my fridge so that friends and family know where to find stuff too!
PALETTE INSERT – I use this to store my makeup palettes and it’s a GAME CHANGER! I sort larger in the back to smallest in the front that way I can still neatly see them and easily find the one I want!
CLEAR BINS – The ways in which I could use these clear bins is limitless.. I use them here for bath bombs, skincare, masks, and in my closet use them for sunglasses and headbands. They are really great when it’s smaller things and you need to see everything in the bin!
If you’re also looking to clean up your closet a bit- I shared tips for organizing your accessories here!
