Easy Cranberry ideas for Thanksgiving

November 16, 2017 By Noelle 173 Comments

Just in time for Thanksgiving coming up, I’ve teamed up with Ocean Spray to share some Thanksgiving hosting tips, especially for those first timers out there like myself! Most of you saw that a few weeks ago I went to the most insane event with Ocean Spray that was an amazing Thanksgiving dinner in the middle of a bog! So we had to put on waders in order to sit at your place for the meal! It was so cool and my tips and tricks won’t be as cool as that, but I hope you enjoy them! Being a huuuuge (and I mean huge) cranberry fan, Thanksgiving for me means cranberry everything! It’s something I look forward to at every single holiday meal!

Before I share 3 awesome tips, if you’re feeling weary on anything, Ocean Spray now has this awesome “Ask CranMa” campaign and have a chatbot on their site so you can literally “Ask CranMa” any questions you may have! From what temperature to cook something to a spice you might be in need of! Truly a dream come true first time Thanksgiving hosts! Now let’s jump into my tips!

  1. Create napkin rings out of fresh cranberries

This is something that looks adorable, costs so little, and creates just the right amount of color for your Thanksgiving table setting! I just took a few cranberries and strung them onto string, however wire also gets the trick done and maybe even easier!

2. Cinnamon sugar cranberry garnish

You can create this cinnamon sugar cranberry garnish just as a little small dish or to pop into holiday cocktails! I personally love just popping a few into a simple mixture of Ocean Spray® Cranberry Juice Cocktail, sparkling water, and vodka! The cinnamon adds the perfect little flavor and the garnish just looks like you made the extra effort!

3. Create fall shapes out of cranberry sauce

This one is so easy and really makes it look like you did something special! Simply put the Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce into the fridge for about an hour, then cut it into slices deep enough to cut with a cookie cutter (depends on the size of your shapes!) and just cut out cute little holiday shapes! I did leaves and acorns and I love how it came out! An adorable way to add festivity to the table and meal!

I hope you guys enjoyed these tips and special shout out to Ocean Spray for sponsoring this blog post!

My very first Mother’s Day as your mom my sweet My very first Mother’s Day as your mom my sweet Evergreen 🤍 you’ve changed my life forever & being your mom is always going to be the thing I am most proud of in my life 🤍 I remember right after she was born (this first photo) she was crying & I just kept saying “it’s okay baby, it’s okay” and I can’t even explain how surreal it was to be holding my baby in my arms. It’s hard for me sometimes to not feel like I’m counting down the Mother’s days my mom had with me.. thinking I only have 6 more. It reminds me constantly to be more present and make allllll the memories & don’t hold back. Being a mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done & also one of the absolute best, beautiful, meaningful things I’ve ever done. 🤍

A little love letter to this @sezane floral shirt A little love letter to this @sezane floral shirt of my dreams 💕🌷 this weekend is my first Mother’s Day and it has me thinking a lot about being a mom and weird little details. I used to think when you loved someone it meant you had every part of them memorized- you could pick out their hand in a line up or their lips. But with Ever I’ve realized it’s not like that- every single day she’s growing and every single day she wakes up a little bit different. It may sound silly but it’s been on my heart lately about how weirdly this feels like such an emotional part of motherhood that seems so simple but is something I never really thought about. #sezanelovers #sezanepartner
Motherhood is often seen as the ultimate balancing Motherhood is often seen as the ultimate balancing act - managing a career, maintaining a home, and raising children. But what if saying “no” could actually be empowering and give mothers the chance to say “yes”? #pureleafpartner 💕

That’s where the “No” Grants partnership with @pureleaf comes in. This program is designed to provide a little extra financial support to mothers who want to say “no” to the pressures and expectations that come with motherhood and “yes” to simplicity. With the “No” Grants partnership, Pure Leaf is empowering mothers to say “no” to doing it all and “yes” to simplifying life.
