I get asked about 50 times a day on Instagram stories what filter I used on my videos, how I add music, and how to achieve this ‘vintage’ video look and FINALLY I am sharing the 3 apps I use to achieve this! I hope this helps you guys if you’ve had any questions about stories and enjoy!!!
- My most asked and most used app is likely 8mm! This app is how I create the ‘vintage’ look and I typically use the 2 strip filter. I think it is 1.99 in the App Store, but def worth it as it’s a great app and is how I achieve this look.
- I also ALWAYS get asked how I add music to my videos or boomerangs! The app I use for this is Hype Type and you don’t need to pay for any of the songs to use a short clip of them! IG stories does have it set up now that you can connect with Spotify, but I find it doesn’t work well at all so I still use Hype Type! I love using music to create a video mood and this app is super easy to use! You can also use their fonts to have some text over your videos too- super fun!
- A lot of people don’t realize but VSCO actually has filters for video! When you open the app you click the plus sign on the right and then tap over to videos! You then can add any of the filters you have purchased over onto your videos! I absolutely love filtering my videos and my favorite filter for IG videos is M5!
