There’s something so beautiful about the dead grass and leaves…
I think being from Louisiana, something about the dead grass reminds me of my home and although it has a creepy/loneliness to it, it also has something that feels like home and has memories. Plus it makes for a beautiful backdrop! Danny and I adventured a little bit to find a pretty spot and ended up here in Queens. There’s also a lake, but it was closed for the winter. I can’t wait to check it out in the spring!
I’m wearing a Samantha Pleet dress I’ve had for a while with this double-sided cape from Boohoo over it. I love the faux fur collar of this cape so much! Such a fun piece, especially for warmer winter days or if you live in an area where it’s not always freezing (plus it’s on sale for only $22!). I’m also wearing these thigh-high boots by Schutz that I have in black and adore so much I needed the brown! The best part about these is although they have a heel I can wear them for hours and my feet don’t hurt at all! Which to me is the makings of a great shoe! Lastly, I have to mention that I found this hat in a massive Forever 21 in California for literally $7.50! What a steal.
It’s a bit of a dreary Monday here in NYC,but hoping the rest of the week cheers up!
