For any of you who have followed my blog for quite some time now, you know a the first year or two I had my blog I suffered from pretty bad acne and of course as a result from that have some acne scars and imperfections caused from it. As my acne got better and started to go away, I’d still feel insecure about my skin because of the scars and effects the acne had left on my skin (I know so many know what I mean on this regard!). About two weeks ago if you follow me on Snapchat I shared that I was getting Laser Genesis at Schweiger Dermatology and I’m so excited to share my thoughts with you!

First off, Schweiger Dermatology was just an amazing experience in general. Rachel Martino and I went together to make a bit of a girls day out of it and I’m glad I did it with a friend because it made everything more fun! Second amazing thing about our experience was the two PA’s who performed on us were Diana and Laura Palmisano, referred to as the “Derm Duo” and you guys, not only are they TWINS (so cute) but they are also so sweet and amazing as well as also reassuring and patient with every question you may have. I’m a person who hates doctor’s offices of any kind and this was the *best* experience I could of ever imaged. Honestly, I want to go back and try so many things from their offices because the experience was just so amazing! They offer a really wide range of services from peels, botox, tattoo removal, and acne scar treatments.

Now lets get down to the Laser Genesis if you don’t know much about it, which I didn’t until recently! It’s pretty much painless (I’d describe the sensation as standing just slightly too close to a bonfire) and it eliminates wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin tone and texture, and diffuses redness and scars. Many people describe it as giving you a ‘glow’ afterwards and it couldn’t be more true! I was literally glowing afterwards and can 100% see results. My pores seem smaller and tighter, and redness has certainly gone down. The Derm Duo twins said my skin reacted really well to this treatment and honestly I could really tell! I will without a doubt go back to receive this treatment again as it really made me feel more confident about going make-up free because my skin looked so much better and even in color!

Schweiger Derm was kind enough to give me a $100 off any treatment code to share with you guys! The code is ‘Noelle100’ and expires May 1st, so as long as you make your appointment by then it is useable!

Please comment with any other questions you guys might have about my experience and I’d love to give you more information!

Love,

Noelle

I’ve been doing a Q&A today on my stories and go I’ve been doing a Q&A today on my stories and got lots of questions about how I’ve handled the changes my body has gone through during pregnancy or how I’ve dealt with stretch marks. Honestly, the journey has had its moments where I just cried and didn’t know how to embrace the changes. I’ve had many months where I just didn’t feel myself and that felt mentally really really hard. And then about 2 weeks ago- I woke up one morning to stretch marks sprouting for the first time in my pregnancy. Truly overnight I got them and I’d be lying if I said the overnight change didn’t make me super emotional. I said to a friend recently that your body doesn’t fully belong to you throughout this process- it’s building and growing and you wake up different all the time. Danny constantly is reminding me my body is growing our little baby girl and that’s so beautiful and more meaningful than my superficial body. It’s a shared home. And I find myself constantly needing to remind myself that I am so much more than this body. And sometimes I feel disappointed in myself that I have to remind myself this- but I’m only human. I have my days where I don’t feel great and am super hard on myself. Pregnancy has def made some of those days feel a bit harder ❤️ with lots of tears. I’ve been meaning to write this for a bit and just felt the word dump of feelings wasn’t enough. But I hope my vulnerability helps some of you who may be on a similar journey To me feel less alone ❤️
