Sharing some special photos today with Sunglass Hut…
I’m so excited to share these photos with you today! Danny and I don’t get a chance to take photos together very often, but when we do I love them so much! Today we’ve teamed up with Sunglass Hut to show you some of our favorite sunglass styles and how we both style them! I also wanted to share a little bit about our relationship and how much Danny means to me so heeerree we gooo!
We have been together nearly 4 years now, which feels unreal! We met in March at a store I used to work at in Williamsburg. Believe it or not at this point I didn’t even have this blog, that’s how long ago this was. He came into the store and I thought he was very cute right off the bat, but this store had lots of handsome boys walk into it so I didn’t think much of it. I was working alone and he came in with big headphones on, messy hair, and an oversized khaki trench coat. I started talking to him a lot and I could tell it was making him very nervous, which I enjoyed if I’m being honest, heh. I gave him some compliments as we chatted more and he told me he had just moved to New York about a week ago. I started telling him how one of my roommates was going to be moving out soon and if he needed a place that it could be perfect! I write down my number and as I’m doing so I realize.. what am I doing?! A cute boy I seem to make nervous is here and I’m.. asking him to be my roommate!?! AM I INSANE? So I get flustered feeling like a dummy and start acting kind of weird.. he starts acting kind of weird too, likely confused by my flirting and then “will you be my roommate? Here’s my number” talk. So we awkwardly say goodbye and he leaves feeling very confused. I know now that afterwards he called his friend to ask what he should do and she said he should ask me out for a drink.
A few hours later I get a text from him asking me if I want to get a drink later and I get a big goofy smile on my face to the point that other people in the store ask me why I’m so happy. I’m also happy because he texted me a few *hours* later, not a few *days*. This seemed like a good sign to me! Long story short, we don’t get to hangout that night, but we do a few days later. We went to the Commodore in Williamsburg and talked for hours. Afterwards he walked me to my train and the snow started softly coming down. It really did feel magical. Before I was about to go down the steps to catch my G train, I decided I wanted to stop in the deli and buy some cookies (something I did a lot) so he came with me and bought them for me. I gave him a few as we were standing there in the snow and he kissed me on the cheek. I walked down the steps and sat there for likely what was an hour waiting for the G train (it’s notorious for taking forever), but I had Milano cookies and a great date with Danny so I was happy as a clam.
After the ups and downs of being together for four years, there hasn’t been one day where I didn’t feel like Danny was the love of my life. I’ve never felt a connection to anyone like the way I do to him. He is the person I can be the most myself with, who I can share my biggest fears with, who I could do nothing with for hours and hours and have the greatest time of my life. He’s the person I want to see every single day when I wake up and who I want to kiss every single night. I picture every day of my future with him because he’s my future. Before Danny I thought love was something people forced themselves to think they felt, but I know now love is something that is really out there and if you find it you are so SO lucky. Finding real, true love is one of the things I am most grateful for finding in this huge world. I don’t know how I got so lucky and it isn’t always easy, don’t think that for one second, but love is the best feeling in the world and having that kind of connection makes every single day feel like warm biscuits and butter. You just feel warm and comforted and home.
I wanted to thank Sunglass Hut for finally giving me a chance to share a bit about our love and encouraging me to do so! The glasses Danny and I are wearing in the first set of photos are both Ray-Bans and are available here and here. In the other sets of photos I’m wearing a pair of Miu Miu sunnies I have wanted for AGES (seriously ages you guys) and you’ll now be seeing all of the time because they are perfect! Danny is wearing classic Ray-Bans because they are his forever favorite.
I hope you enjoyed this post and our story! Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you out there and don’t forget to celebrate love of all kinds! <3
Love,
Noelle
Post in collaboration with Sunglass Hut, but all love for sunnies and Valentine’s Day are all my own!
