Missing Elk Lake…
I tend to save some blog posts for a month or two later than when I took them because I love the adventures I had in them so much and I want relive them later…. or something like that, haha. This is certainly one of those blog posts! All of these photos were taken along the trails at Elk Lake Lodge and every moment was magical, especially going on the swinging bridge!
I wanted a bit of a Wes Anderson explorer look so I wore this old Boohoo plaid swing dress (similar red one here!) that I love to wear because it’s so colorful and comfortable! Paired with a bright yellow handkerchief, my favorite ‘explorer’ hat, and Woolrich boots. I was also using my Duluth Pack backpack which was perfect because it wasn’t too heavy yet held everything I needed! Perfect for a day of hiking.
This was a trip I loved so very much. I got to have special moments with my family (SK and Sara M, you know I’m talking about you!) where we canoed in the rain only for the sky to open up and let out the most beautiful light. I also had amazing moments with my boyfriend Danny and on trips I am always so thankful for his photography patience with me. I can be a bit of a handful when it comes to photos and he never lets me down.
Now I’m off to get ready for a pre-showing of The Light Between the Oceans with Rachel Martino and I can’t wait. I’m certain I’ll cry like a baby..
Love,
Noelle
