Say it with me – S U M M E R…
About a month ago (yeah- that’s how behind on blog posts I am) Jade and I went to the beach on the day that was the warmest of 2015 (I would say the high was like 80). We were beyond thrilled and since Jade has a car, we drove down to Fort Tilden with swimsuits on and all. Once we got there, it was pretty damn cold. I seem to always get so hopeful and forget that near the water it’s about 10 degrees cooler. Despite it being pretty cool though, we committed to our journey (that’s the kind of girls Jade and I are) and had a damn blast! We took some photos, drank Pampelonne that I snuck onto the beach, and talked about old times. When I first moved to New York with Jade, we had a similar beach day where we went a little prematurely and froze our butts off at the beach! It’s these memories that I truly cherish with Jade. She’s down for any journey and together we always make the most of any situation. Love this babe for life.
After our little trip, we went to Calexico in Greenpoint to grab some Mexican on their porch outside and enjoy some drinks! It was the perfect ending to the day.
Now to talk about my outfit here. I am wearing a dress I thrifted from Crossroads trading. I love getting summer dresses at Crossroads because there are typically SO many! I’m also buying everything white this past month! I’m not sure why.. I’m typically scared of ruining it,but I’ve been all about it lately! I wore this huge hat I thrifted recently in Williamsburg with these perfect Boden flats. I mean C’MON. These flats are perfection and such a good mixup from the usual flats!
I wore this pineapple swimsuit (finally!) made by Kortni Jeane! Her swimsuits are mix and match with so many flattering shapes. She also had a scale-mermaid-y one that I’m dying for! If you’re looking for a good, flattering new suit, check her stuff out!
Love,
Noelle
