10 Things this week #1

May 27, 2020 By Noelle No Comments

This is the start of something new over here on Noelle’s Favorite Things. I’ve been making a lost of lists and doing a lot of journaling and just trying to overall be intentional with my time. I always have a lot of things I want to do (some goals, some fun things) and honestly the last year and a half they keep me up at night. I look back at the day and feel angry I didn’t do X or make time for XX. Over the weekend I decided this was a habit I wanted to break.

I’ve made lists of here before, but it was more 50 things I want to do this fall. What I want to do is do once a week 10 things I want to do/create/share/ANYTHING! Just 10 things this week and I’m sure overtime it might look different, but for now it’s going to be 10 things I’m looking forward to this week, want to do this week, or just general weekly goals of mine. I thought it could be fun to share and keep us all connected through our goals. I’ve seen a few bloggers do this before in the past and just felt inspired to do it now! So here we go!

  1. Wake up at 8 AM. This for some sounds stupid and for others also sounds like a nightmare. But the last 3 days I’ve woken up at 8 AM and have been loving it. I’ll go more into detail soon.
  2. Continue to do my 5 minute journal at right when I wake up and before I go to bed. This has been great for me.
  3. Continue to make healthy meals at home. This is something I’ve been really loving and just feeling full of so much energy. Definitely want to stick to it!
  4. Be a better texter and caller. I am the absolute worst at texting back and calling back- I think I associate my phone with a lot of stress so I tend to check out- but my friends and family deserve better.
  5. Eat meals earlier. I tend to make dinner super late because I ate lunch super late and this has turned into a horrible habit. I would say our normal dinner time is 9:30 and I just want to eat earlier so I can have more time to digest, clean up, and then chill and get ready for bed.
  6. Film an IGTV tour of our apartment. I’ve been meaning to do this for FOREVER and I’m finally going to do it today!
  7. Spend less time on social media and just get OFF my phone.
  8. Do something nice for Danny that puts a smile on his face. Still thinking up what exactly this could be, but just something to let him know I love him lots.
  9. Continue to read! I started reading the most random book last weekend and I want to finish it this week.
  10. Order a gift for someone- just to let them know I’m thinking of them.

Some things are so small and some (for me) and harder, but I’m excited to have fun with this!

My very first Mother’s Day as your mom my sweet My very first Mother’s Day as your mom my sweet Evergreen 🤍 you’ve changed my life forever & being your mom is always going to be the thing I am most proud of in my life 🤍 I remember right after she was born (this first photo) she was crying & I just kept saying “it’s okay baby, it’s okay” and I can’t even explain how surreal it was to be holding my baby in my arms. It’s hard for me sometimes to not feel like I’m counting down the Mother’s days my mom had with me.. thinking I only have 6 more. It reminds me constantly to be more present and make allllll the memories & don’t hold back. Being a mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done & also one of the absolute best, beautiful, meaningful things I’ve ever done. 🤍

A little love letter to this @sezane floral shirt A little love letter to this @sezane floral shirt of my dreams 💕🌷 this weekend is my first Mother’s Day and it has me thinking a lot about being a mom and weird little details. I used to think when you loved someone it meant you had every part of them memorized- you could pick out their hand in a line up or their lips. But with Ever I’ve realized it’s not like that- every single day she’s growing and every single day she wakes up a little bit different. It may sound silly but it’s been on my heart lately about how weirdly this feels like such an emotional part of motherhood that seems so simple but is something I never really thought about. #sezanelovers #sezanepartner
Motherhood is often seen as the ultimate balancing Motherhood is often seen as the ultimate balancing act - managing a career, maintaining a home, and raising children. But what if saying “no” could actually be empowering and give mothers the chance to say “yes”? #pureleafpartner 💕

That’s where the “No” Grants partnership with @pureleaf comes in. This program is designed to provide a little extra financial support to mothers who want to say “no” to the pressures and expectations that come with motherhood and “yes” to simplicity. With the “No” Grants partnership, Pure Leaf is empowering mothers to say “no” to doing it all and “yes” to simplifying life.

No purchase necessary. Open to all 50 US & DC residents, 18+ (19+ in AL/NE). Ends 10/31/23. Rules, eligibility & entry deadlines: www.PureLeaf.com/NoGrants.
