8 years ago yesterday Danny walked into a clothing

8 years ago yesterday Danny walked into a clothing store in Brooklyn that I worked at (usually I worked with someone else but on this particular day alone) because his friend told him it was cool and he should check it out (and the store is very cool it’s @igwtnyc . I remember he walked in with fluffy 80’s hair, an oversized khaki trench coat, and big old school headphones. He was cute, but most customers were. I loved being helpful and genuinely loved working retail so kept complimenting him and helping him out. Apparently he didn’t really have any money.. but he bought a shirt LOL. As he was checking out we started chatting about how he had just moved to New York and i instantly was like oh I have a roommate moving out soon (which was true!) and that he could come check the place out if he wanted to. I was part flirting part nervous word vomit talking. I realized after I took a piece of paper and wrote my number on WHAT AM I DOING! Cute boy that I am asking to be my roommate NO! So we both got super awkward and said our goodbyes LOL. He texted me about 2 hours later to get a drink.. but we actually didn’t hangout until about 2 weeks later. Stories like this happen everyday, there’s nothing really unique about it. But it’s our story and we love it. We even acted out every scene of it yesterday 🤣 but you never know in these small interactions what could happen. I always think what if I hadn’t given him my number.. what if I hadn’t of remembered we actually had an extra of the size he needed of the shirt in the back and he wouldn’t of bought it.. honestly what if the girl I was working with that day hadn’t of called in sick. There’s no point to this really just that life is so many small moments making up such a big picture future. Anything can happen. The future is wild. Life is full of surprises ♥️
